Well, it's Friday and one more day until the big moving day.
My mom and I have been working tirelessly cleaning the cottage and slowly transporting boxes and unloading them. The fun has worn off and I'm ready to be done.
I will take a moment here to encourage anyone who is moving, to please leave the place clean for the new person coming in.
The sellers didn't clean one single surface. Didn't vacuum one single room. Didn't clean up after themselves or their kids and that has taken us an entire week to take care of, on top of moving stuff and unpacking. It's been exhausting.
But, it's as clean as it's going to get for now. After everything is moved in and there are no more people walking through the house, the floors will get a good cleaning and I will feel much better about everything.
This is my first house without a kitchen window, but I brought my Millie's Cottage valance that Morgan made me and with a tension rod, it fit perfectly under the cabinets.
Before we started bringing boxes over, I told my mom that I wasn't sure I would fill up all the cabinets. Boy was I wrong! They filled up fast! Thankfully the sellers left some additional hutches and I am able to use those for baking supplies and one as a coffee hutch. There is also a free standing pantry hutch in the corner. I can't wait to show more, as we go along.
Today my mom is leaving to go back home. My brother has been there taking care of her dog and she has various appointments next week that she has to take care of. It's been great having her here and I'm so thankful she was willing to come all this way for me. In that respect, it's been a great week.
David and I are going to vote this morning and I have other errands to take care of before coming home to pack everything I possibly can. The movers will be here at 9:00 am tomorrow and I am counting on them to do all the heavy lifting.
Note to self...never move again and don't buy anymore stuff 😅
Well, that's it for today. I hope you all have had a great week and have a nice weekend coming up. I think we are still turning the clocks, so there's that.
I'll see you all back here next week 💛
Until Next Time...
Blessings!
