Happy Thursday, Friends!
I've not had too much to say over the past week or so, even though I've been busy around here.
Sometimes you just have to stop and take in life, without feeling the need to say something, right?
But I knew I would find the words, when the time was right,
so here I am this morning, sharing some behind the scenes, once again.
🐔
Tuesday was Family Dinner and we celebrated my oldest son's birthday.
These pictures represent my heart 🩷
Our little family has gotten so big and we are so blessed
to live within minutes from one another.
I will never take that for granted.
These are my boys 😀
Ted is holding his gift from Collin and Morgan,
which is a poster that represents Ted's song
that is about to be released,
called Dominion.
Those are the lyrics to the song,
in the shape of a record.
What an amazing gift for Ted to hang in his studio!
To say I am proud of them is an understatement.
They are amazing men, they love the Lord, and they
gave us such beautiful daughter-in-loves and
precious babies.
What more can a mom ask for?
💗
I've also been reading a lot lately.
📚
Currently I'm reading this...
You might recognize Allison from her dancing videos on Instagram,
with her late husband.
This is her story and it's definitely worth the read.
📺
David and I are loving American Idol this season.
I cry in every episode.
I love hearing the stories and dreams of these young people.
I have lived these dreams with my kids and I just want to hug every
one of them and tell them that God is working in their lives,
slowly but surely.
We've also just finished the Australian Traitors and
it was a great season (season 2).
🍳🍵🍴
For Family Dinner I made meatball subs,
which turned out pretty good.
But the next morning I put some bread in the oven
to make toast and my oven no longer worked.
I have no idea what happened between
heating the subs on Tuesday night,
to turning the oven on Wednesday morning,
but I no longer have a working oven.
Hmmm...
This will take some research on David's part.
In the meantime,
good thing I bought that air fryer recently!
⏰
Today I return to work for the next week.
As always, I'm looking forward to getting back to it.
I'm still trying to get adjusted to using my time wisely when I'm off.
There are so many things I want to do during those days,
and I have to see my people too.
These are not problems,
just a matter of coordinating all the things,
which I will...eventually.
Well, that's a small glimpse into my life lately.
I have lessons the Lord is teaching me,
basically every time I open my Bible.
I will share those things eventually.
👭
Right now I'm walking through some things with friends
who need prayer,
which I count a privilege to pray for.
It's so important to let people in and ask for support.
If I can ever pray for you, just let me know.
💚
Now I'm off to get ready for work and make toast
in a toaster, like a normal person.
🍞
I hope you have an amazing day!
Until Next Time...
Blessings!
Good morning, sweet friend! I am so behind in blog reading, but I enjoyed every word of this post. I love those pictures that represent your heart; what a gift life is to live with our adult "kids". I can't imagine how much greater it is with grandkids, but I sure do love my grand pets! I'm keeping my son's 2 dogs for him while he's out of town for work this week, and I've loved having them here. What a privilege to pray for our friends; I still think of and pray for you and David often. If there's ever anything I can pray about, reach out! I'd love to do that!
ReplyDeleteI have something you can pray for: I'm concerned with the timing of things (financially speaking) on me being able to stay put in my home. I know that God is in control and that He will provide for me in whatever way that looks like, but I can't help but keep wondering what will happen. I'm trying not to borrow trouble from tomorrow, so to speak, but I'd love if you would pray however you feel led for me regarding this. I keep reminding myself that He is trustworthy and that He's never let me down yet so I know He's not about to start.
But still...sometimes the thinking takes its toll. So, thank you in advance! I appreciate you and your friendship. I'm so glad I found you in this little blog community, because you have been a tremendous blessing to me. Thank you! I hope you have a wonderful day, my friend. Much love!
Jennifer, I will absolutely be praying for you! And Amen to not borrowing trouble :) I have recently had to lean in really close and listen to what the Lord is saying and tune out my practical brain that wants to make a plan for the future. Honestly, God is a practical God, but he's also a supernatural, blow your mind God too. The biggest factor is to remember that fear is from the enemy and he is constantly whispering in your ear. Don't listen. Just keep seeking God's plan, day by day, and trust in his character. He has a good track record :) In the meantime, I'm praying he will speak to you in ways you can understand. His desire is for you to have a sound mind, so when you start to panic and feel confusion - that's from the enemy. Lots of love to you too!
DeleteLove the chicken. One of my neighbor's chickens did the same a week or so ago. I saw in the side yard, then he was in the neighbor's fenced in yard! Couldn't figure out how to get home on the other side of that yard. Neighbor hoisted his little girl over the fence and she picked it up and took it home. She carries them around all the time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family. So glad you had a nice time. What a cool idea on the gift!!! That is really neat.
Have a great weekend!
Those chickens like to roam the neighborhoods :) And thank you for the sweet comment about my family. Have a great weekend Cheryl!
DeleteYour family pictures just bless my heart. Seeing your family around the table and loving on each other is a treasure. Love the decorations in your kitchen, and I think that wandering rooster wanted to join the party. What a special birthday gift!!
ReplyDeleteAlways look forward to your posts and your love for family and the Lord.
Wanda, thank you for this sweet comment :) You are a blessing too :)
DeleteHi Debbie, your family is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry about your oven. We have an air fryer that looks like a big toaster oven and I cook so many things in it.
My prayer request is for my husband’s back pain. His name is Jeff
Rhonda, I'll pray for Jeff. I know how debilitating that can be. And thank you for the compliment about the family :) Also, maybe I'll buy a toaster oven and call it a day :)
DeleteThank you so much for the update on what is going on in your life. Thanks for the smiles on the chicken, every day on the drive home from work, there are dozens of chickens near the road, they always make smile. Wishing you a beautiful weekend my friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family you have and what a blessing, indeed, to have them living so close! Our oldest daughter and her family live 5 hours away and while we are grateful for daily FaceTime connections, it's just not the same. The birthday present your son received is such a treasure... your mama heart must be bursting! Wishing you a blessed Holy Week ahead.
