Merry Christmas my friends!
It's a hot and muggy Monday here in Texas and it's predicted to be like this all week long. Yuck! It's a good thing we have lots of good things happening in spite of the weather, huh? Such as this creative gift I received from one of my coworkers. Isn't it cute?
It's an oven mit, cookie mix, spatula, cookie cutter and ornament...all in one! How fun! I also received some Christmas "trash" that was yummy, a Bath and Body Works hand soap and other goodies, plus one lady put out some candy and snacks for us to enjoy. What a fun time!
Here at home I've been busy doing the last minute things before going back to work today and tomorrow. I've bought the groceries and a few last minute treats for the babies. I put a little gift bag together for my mother-in-law, whom we will visit in a few days. Everything is set. All I have to do is spend Christmas Eve cooking and setting the table. All the kids will be here Christmas night and it will be glorious chaos.😅🎄🎁
In other news...🏡
We are making little bits of progress on the house. This weekend we installed more lights and ceiling fans. David has a checklist he's been keeping and we are actually getting things checked off. I dusted and mopped some of the areas that are done and it was exciting to see the new floor all cleaned and ready. We also took our patio chairs back to the house and put them on the back patio. Our new rule is that we have to take something with us every time we go back now. After Christmas it will be full steam ahead with moving, so every little thing we take ahead of time will be one less thing here at the apartment.
🎄
This will probably be my last post until after Christmas. But I am wishing each of you a very merry Christmas. I know that life goes on, whether it's Christmas or not, and we all have real life issues to deal with, even while counting the blessings of family and friends around the Christmas tree. Remember that Jesus loves you and he is the entire reason we celebrate this season.
He will be with you, whatever you're going through, just hold tight to him, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances and draw near to God and he will draw near to you.
Until Next Time...
Merry Christmas my friends!
