Hello Friends!
I hope your first week of September was cool and cozy, with colors of orange, yellow and autumn all around. I live in Texas so mine was...HOT!
But, what to do when it's still in the 90's outside? Decorate the library for FALL and pretend like the season is changing (even if you're sweating while doing it)😅
This week I got to decorate for Fall at the library and I had so much fun. I have a boss who gives me free rein to decorate and I just love that she trusts me with the task. We put a fall scent in the wax burner, turned the air down to 70 and by the end of the week, it was smelling and looking like a new season.
And speaking of books...over the holiday, we went to visit family and I also got to visit a bookstore I discovered on Instagram, called The Painted Porch Bookshop, in Bastrop. It was such a quaint little place with all kinds of books, as you can imagine.
Now the weekend is here and we are spending the day with our granddaughters. I think the local children's museum is on the agenda. It should be a fun day and I know we'll be wiped out by the end of it, but in the best way.
I hope your Saturday is all you want it to be. Hopefully with some true, Fall-like temperatures to go with it. 🍁
Take care and I'll see you soon!
Until Next Time...
Blessings!
Your decorating looks so good. Quite creative. Oh my goodness, that is a stack of books at the 'fireplace'. WOW. Sweet kitty.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's a bookstore!!! Now that is my kind of store!! And I love your decorating...I just put in an email to our colonel at work and he approved of some of the items I asked about and wanted in my classroom--he did remind we work in a prison, lol. You take a really nice photo, thank you for sharing (I do not take good photos of myself, nope, nope and nope, LOL).
ReplyDeleteThe library looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLibraries and book stores are two of my favorite places to visit, as well. I hope your day at the museum was great fun!
I love this! Bookshops are special. I enjoy visiting them too! If you are ever in CT there are lots of special bookshops! RJ Julia in Madison, Hickory Stick in Washington, and a The Book Barn in Niantic. There's just something fun about bookstores and fall! Great decorations! - Katie
ReplyDeleteThe library looks so warm and an Autumn invitation. How about that book fireplace. Pretty awesome!! Very nice bookstore for sure. Hope you all are being able to enjoy the nice temps that we have today...feels great outside. Great photos and you look absolutely beautiful..

ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible stack of books in the book shop by the fireplace! I love how you decked the halls in fall decor at your library. It looks so inviting.
