We look forward to it every year.
This week I have taken it easy,
as far as staying around the house,
working on projects,
cooking good food,
catching up on phone calls
and watching some good shows.
I have purged all of my journals;
pulling out the good stuff and tossing the rest.
I'm not sure what the result of all of it will be,
but it's a work in progress.
David finally put the flooring in our bathroom!!
It turned out so good!
I spent one of my days switching all of our stuff
from the hall bath to this bathroom in our bedroom.
This has taken quite a long time.
David had to tear this bathroom completely down,
and then build it back up,
including building an entirely new floor surface.
We used tin for our shower wall,
which we are really loving.
We don't have a lot of storage,
so I had to make things look nice,
with baskets and reality 😅
We live here, so real life
had to take first place over
Pinterest perfect.
I made my first loaf of basic bread
in my new bread machine.
I had to try it, while it was still warm.
Delicious!
The rest of the week was spent catching up
on the phone
with sisters and friends.
I watched some good shows,
went for several bike rides,
cooked some good meals
and let myself rest when needed.
Tonight my family will come over
to celebrate my birthday.
My daughter-in-loves are cooking
and I know it will be delicious.
In the meantime,
I will get out of the house today,
for the first time this week,
and do some things.
It will feel good to be out of the house!
Happy Birthday! Enjoy the call from your Mom. I got that final call on my 46th.
ReplyDeleteI hope you celebrate 58 in all kinds of fun ways :-)

ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET LADY!!! Lost my mom 5 years ago -- what I wouldn't give to hear her sing her special Happy Birthday song to me. I'll take a slice of that homemade bread, with some jelly. We would have a good old visit!! Hope your birthday was extra special!
