Currently

Today I thought it would be fun to link up with Jennifer and her November edition of Currently

Jumping right in...

I am currently LOVING so many things! First off, these classic toys we bought last weekend. Remember these? This little snoopy dog that makes the funny noise as you pull him along. It brings back memories of my grandmother's house.

And this record player! I played with this for years! I can't believe we found one.

And this little pocket camera that has a slide show when you look in the window. It shows various zoo animals and is called "A Trip to the Zoo."  Such nostalgia. I just love it.

Here's something else I'm loving right now...Asa! Anytime he sees me, he immediately runs to me and lifts his hands up for me to pick him up. Then he puts his arms around me and won't let go. Of course, I melt every single time. It's the absolute best!!

Ok, something I've been PREPARING...

David's lunch, every day. He is on the road every single day now, so I am packing him a lunch so he doesn't have to eat fast food (and it's so much cheaper).

This takes me back to the years we were first married and we both worked and were going to college. We would both take brown bag lunches and meet somewhere for lunch. Isn't it funny how certain memories are attached to food?

And speaking of more food...I've also been PREPARING homemade bread in my bread machine and loving it! This week I made a grilled cheese with several types of cheese and a bit of raspberry jam in the middle. It was delicious!

Next...what have I been BUYING?
I've been buying some Christmas gifts, little by little. I have a budget and I'm doing well so far.  I still have some left to buy, but I have a good plan, so I'm not too stressed about it all.

Now the next two questions are What am I EXCITED for and What am I PLANNING?

Well, the answers are intertwined. I am excited for David's 60th birthday coming up and I've been planning a few things that I think will be fun. Morgan's birthday is a few days after David's, so I've got that on the calendar too.

Of course, I've been thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas meals and what those will entail, so lots of planning going on over here.

I will always admit that hostessing is not my strong suit and neither is party planning. But, I do my best.

Well, that's a look at what I've been LOVING, BUYING, PREPARING, EXCITED FOR AND PLANNING.

Today I will be starting my writing challenge and continuing on with my fitness challenge. By the end of the week, I'll share how it's going.

Until then, I hope you have a wonderful day, full of joy.

Until Next Time...
Blessings!

  5. Didn't we all have one of the doggie toys!? Love it:) And love that you are packing brown bag lunches again. Because of the memories tied with it. Such simple tasks for the ones we love - some of my favorite. I do not think I have ever put jam on my grilled cheese - but it sounds delish! I just might need to try that for lunch this weekend! Have a great one, my friend!!

  6. I "brown bag" it to work as well, well, it's clear plastic boxes as I work in a prison, but nonetheless, I brown bag it, LOL. Have a great week my friend.

  7. What a lovely post, the vintage toys sure brought back memories. Your grilled cheese sandwich looks so good, makes me want to have one, maybe I'll do that for lunch. I also agree, there is nothing quite like homemade bread.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for letting me know about your web address change, I've updated it on my sidebar. Have a wonderful Sunday!
