Anyone Else Have a Gloomy Week filled with Cranky People? (and other random things)

Well, it's Friday and it's been quite the week.

We finally got some rain yesterday,

so I stepped out on the back porch and grabbed this shot of

the dark sky over the lake.

It will rain off and on today and none of us are complaining.

This has been the driest summer/fall season we've ever had.

I finally finished my writing notebook (Phase 1) and snapped
a picture to show my sister.
Now I just have to do purge #2 and pare it down
to only the pieces that truly need to be there.

I realize this holds no significance to anyone but me,
but since it's part of what I've been working on in life,
I'm sharing it here.

On a lighter note...
here's what happens when you browse the aisles of the grocery
store...Dolly Parton biscuits.
By the way...I made them last night
and they were amazing!
In fact, I'm having one now with my coffee,
as I write this post.
Sometimes you just have to try new things 😁

Remember a few posts back when I casually mentioned
that I used to sing in a Southern Gospel quartet?
Well, here's proof.
That's David trying to hit a high note.
Our friend Mona in the middle,
and me on the right.
We were called "The Believers"
and we were a quartet, with a fifth singer (me)
for certain songs and extra parts.

Here's the Quartet.
We actually traveled to local churches and churches within
a few hours distance,
to sing on Sunday nights or special events.

Our music consisted of mostly Gaither music,
and anyone associated with Southern Gospel,
such as The Cathedrals, The Issacs, The Martins,
and too many to name.

Anyway, I found these pictures in a box yesterday,
so I thought I would give proof of what we were up to in
the 90's 😅

This week I'm reading this and getting very inspired by it.

Yesterday I had a great and fun phone call with my sister,
where we brainstormed for over an hour about some
business ideas.
She is a certified Nutrition coach and as well as a Fitness Coach,
and she just needed some fresh thoughts on branding and things.

Afterward, I picked up this book, which I've had for a while,
and started reading it and thought this would be a great
book for anyone who needs a fresh set of ideas for their passion.
So there's an idea for Christmas, if you need to buy a gift
for someone.

And here are the loves of my life!

(well some of them)

Addie, Ella, and Emmy

💗

They love to get in PawPaw's truck,

which just brings back memories

of riding in the back of my dad's truck.

What an adventure that was!

But, we only let them sit and take pictures

nowadays.

They do get to take rides in his old jeep,

which is the "funnest thing ever!"

📷

Other than all of this random stuff,

It's been a strange week,

with gloomy skies and cranky

people.

By last night I was ready to mark everyone

off the list for Christmas

(not my hubby or kids)

and call it a day.

I've just had my fill of cranky old people this week.

😬

But, today is a new day!!

It's Friday and I'm picking up my girlie babies in a few hours

and bringing them back here for Millie Day.

There will be crafts, puzzles, lunch, snacks,

and as always...a dance party!

Addie (she's 4) will ask me if I put "the list"

on the chalkboard,

because they love when I write down all the options for the day.

Then they each take turns crossing off the activities as

we complete them.

So I guess I better shut down this writing session and get to work!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

And stay away from cranky people!

Until Next Time...

Blessings!

I haven't seen those biscuits here - I may have to take a look. We actually had a lovely week here, weatherwise.

  5. Super dry here....but lots and lots of sunshine so I will take it and not worry about the low water. At least, for now. Not too many cranky folks but lots (and lots) of old people. Very set in their ways old people. Ah, and loved the photos of your quartet. I think that is the coolest thing. You are one cool Millie, that is for sure!
