Break? What Break?

Ok, why did I think I was taking a break from this space? Of all the spaces I can go, this is by far, my favorite! I guess sometimes we just need to step away for a second to realize we don't want to go anywhere. Oh well, I'm back😀

Last week I was busy with much of the normal things - groceries, bills, household things. I also drove my MIL to two doctor's appointments, which took up two different days. I had a hair appointment early one morning and lunch with Collin and Morgan another day.

On Saturday, David was working on the bathroom floor project, and I was going to be catching up on laundry and other chores, so I called Morgan to see if they would like us to keep Asa, while she and Collin went on a date. As you can see from the picture above...she said yes!

Asa is almost 17 months old and he is so adorable. He plays and interacts with us and will give us hugs and blow kisses. He has a very playful side, where he hides behind curtains and wants us to find him. I had him pretending to lay down and go to sleep and snore, which was adorable. Then I would say "wake up" and he would pop up and smile.

I think grandchildren are God's gift, so we can be reminded of all the cute things our kids did, but maybe we've forgotten or were too busy to appreciate at the time. I don't know. I loved being with my kids, so I don't think I missed much at the time and now I get to see all the cute stuff again and it's such a blessing!

Today is grocery day, since we're having family dinner this week. I'm trying out a new recipe tomorrow and I'll try to remember to take pictures.

I'm going to get out my Fall decorations today and attempt to make my house look seasonal again. I had given up in the summer because everything was getting dusty and dry outside, so my porch has not been decorated in months.

I'm hoping I can find some inexpensive mums at the store today. If not, I may hit up the Dollar Tree for some fake flowers and porch signs. They usually have some cute choices.

Oh, and I got a bread maker from my mom, for my birthday! I'll be making homemade bread one day this week, once I figure out how 😁🍞

Stay tuned!

Have a great Monday everyone! I'll be catching up on everyone's blog today and tomorrow, so see you soon!

Until Next Time...

Blessings!

  3. Glad you're back. It is hard for me to stay away from blogging too. I've done it for so long it is just part of my day, like walking.
I'm sure you'll love the bread machine. They are really simple to use.

  4. I do the same thing! Say I'm taking a break! Ha...I have even said that I was going to give up blogging altogether and then I start feeling like I'm missing something and right back I go! I am glad you decided to come back early! I just bought myself a bread maker! Kneading bread is getting hard since I have arthritis in both of my thumbs! My thumbs! Can you imagine? Before I forget, Happy Birthday, dear! May blessing pour out on you!

    Grace & Peace,
    Pam
