A Weekend Recap and The Cutest Venue Ever

Hello friends!

It's Monday morning and that usually means a weekend recap is in store.

We had a pretty low-key weekend, with the exception of a wonderful birthday party we went to on Saturday night. We got to visit with old friends we hadn't seen in a while and the venue was the most charming venue I've ever been to.  I'm sharing a link so you can see for yourself. Go HERE for a tour.

I'll also share a few pictures that I took that night...

This was the entrance in the back, which is where the parking was.

The minute I saw it, I knew this was my kind of place.

The inside was even better,

with farmhouse tables and mismatched chairs.

There were fresh flowers everywhere.

This is the backyard, with this cute little building.

You can read all about the story of the venue on their website,

but it's a family business, on family land

and the story is really one of having a dream

and using what you have to make it a reality.

Those are my kind of stories!

Sunday was a regular day with church,

lunch and picking up a few items for the week

at the grocery store.

Over the weekend David and I watched

a movie called Bernie,

with Jack Black,

which turned out to be a true story.

Have you seen it?

Pretty fascinating,

especially considering it took place

not too far from here.

I won't spoil it,

but it even has follow up videos on YouTube

and was once a 48 Hours episode,

which we couldn't find online anywhere.

📺

Today has me cleaning the house,

lots of to-do's and ordering pizza

for family dinner tonight.

🍕

I'll be catching up on all of your blogs today,

hopefully with a hot cup of coffee in hand.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Until Next Time...

Blessings!

  1. What a cute venue. Those are the kinds of places I like to go to also. Reconnecting and spending time with old friends is the best. Linda imagesisee.blogspot.com

  2. That is my kind of place too, I love it!! I've not heard of "Bernie" but it's peaked my interest because it's true (I like true stories) and if it's close to you it should be kinda close to me! I'll be lookin for it. Have a great week and enjoy your pizza tonight. Yummy!

  4. Such a sweet place. I think my favorite is the smaller building! I have not seen Bernie but if it took place in Texas then I need to watch it!
