I was listening to a podcast recently and the two hosts were asking each other rapid-fire questions and I thought it would be fun to ask some similar questions here and enjoy reading your comments.
Here goes...
1. What TV family did you want to be when you grew up?
Mine was The Brady Bunch! I loved the idea of having someone waiting on me after school, with a plate of cookies fresh out of the oven.
2. Were you an indoor girl or an outdoor girl?
I was definitely an indoor girl. I loved all things domestic, but especially playing with Barbies!
3. What's an interest that you had as a child, that carried on into your adult life?
When I was middle school age and we lived in an apartment complex, I would frequently go into the office and ask for floor plans for the different apartments. I would take as many as they would give me and use the floor plans to map out where all my furniture would go in each apartment. That carried over into me loving interior design, moving furniture every so often and decorating.
4. Have you ever appeared in a public performance of any kind (theater, a movie, a commercial)?
I was part of Listen to Your Mother in 2014, which you can still find on YouTube. I call it the most terrifyingly delightful thing I've ever participated in. 😂
5. What household chore is your favorite and which one do you dread doing?
I love grocery shopping when I can browse every aisle and take my time. I hate emptying the dishwasher.
6. Are you a spender, saver, or both?
I'm actually both! I love to spend, but I also love a bargain, coupons and giving myself boundaries with money.
7. Are you a traveler or a homebody? If a traveler, where have you been?
I am a homebody. In fact, I really don't like traveling anymore. However, for my high school graduation, my mom let me go on a Carnival cruise with my best friend and we went to Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Cozumel. Other than that, I've driven all of the U.S. with our little family.
8. When was the first time you realized you were the adult?
When we were newly married and I suddenly realized that all the restocking of household essentials was now my responsibility! It was up to me to make sure we didn't run out of toilet paper or toothpaste. I all of a sudden had a new appreciation for my mom and how all of my toiletries would magically appear when I needed them. 😀
And there you have it! Rapid fire just for fun 😀
I hope you'll answer at least a few of these in the comments! Have fun!
Until Next Time...
Blessings!

1. Flintstones, and Sea Hunt
ReplyDelete2. Both ~ Was a girly girl and a bit of a tomboy. Loved "baby" dolls. Friend across the street had a real play house...spent hours with our dolls. Outside liked playing jaxs and mowing the grass barefooted.
3. Art ~ After I was given my first little tin box of watercolors and a brush, I never wanted crayolas again. Persued the hobby and became a watercolor artist. Love watercolors.
4. I was in several plays in High School, and won the best Thespian Award for a role I played in the "Boyfriend".
5. I love making the bed. I have a white comforter, so change pillows and sheets each week, and love to see the different colors. I love to see a bed all made up with pillows. Not especially fond of scrubbing the bathroom tub!!
6. Both ~ but have boundries.
7. More of a homebody now. Did some traveling, but the most exciting was flying from California to Porland, Maine in a 4 passenger plane. At 10,000 feet, you see the lay of the land. Beautiful way to see the USA.
8. I realized just how inmature I was when I went to Bible College and didn't have my mom.
This was fun, Debbie...thanks
This was fun to read and think about. I wanted to be part of the Huxtible family. I loved that show so much! I loved all of their clever wit and bantering. My love of architecture, taking pictures, and reading have all carried over into adulthood. I've been told several times that I have a good eye for things like photography and decorating, something else I loved doing as a young girl. My mom was an interior designer for people and she often took me with her on jobs. I was always amazed by her talent! I've never had training for any of those things, because I'm afraid it would take away the natural gift of both the Lord has given me. I love to travel, but not for too long...but I also LOVE being at home. There's never any other place quite like it. Thanks for sharing this today, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! I loved reading your answers!! We have a lot in common!! I wanted to be part of the Brady Bunch too!!! ( and I loved their house!!) I'm definitely an indoor girl. My birthday is in July and I remember hating that it was always 90 degrees outside for my party. I just wanted to stay inside in AC and watch game shows. I haven't changed at all! LOL. As far as interests I'd say cooking. I loved it as a child and I still love it. I've never appeared in any type of theater which is probably a good thing for the general public! I always wanted too though. I despise cleaning the bathroom but love vacuuming! I'm definitely a saver and a homebody. And the thing that made me finally realize I was an actual adult was when I had to go to the doctors by myself when I was 19. I still hate it. This was fun! Happy almost Friday, my friend!!
