Happy Monday, Friends!
This is the first Monday in quite awhile that I feel pretty good and back to normal, so I wanted to share some random photos of things that have been going on over the past few weeks, while I've been trying to get over these allergies.
Last Sunday the girls got to share the stage with their daddy for worship. This is Ella Joy, who always wants to stand next to Ted (on keys, behind the PRAY sign). This is her favorite spot, which I think is so precious.
Emmy was on the opposite side, next to her uncle Collin (not shown) and sang like a pro. I was so proud of both of them for having the courage to get out front and lead worship. It's just a beautiful scene when you see kids praising Jesus and brave enough to do it from the stage.
This past week I was kind of winging it as far as cooking went, since I wasn't feeling great. But I did manage to make this yummy beef chili mac from scratch. I had to snap a picture because it reminded me of some early days when David and I were young and I would eat a can of chili mac and one piece of bread with butter, just about every single day for lunch. I will admit...homemade taste much better!
I took this picture of the guest room dresser because I always like the way it looks 😀 On this particular day I had just put the guest room back together after moving all of the toys to the new toy closet. As always, I try to put a cozy chair in every room and this one came from my office. I like it better added to the guest room, as I don't really sit in it very often in the office.
Isn't this the best way to make things feel new? Just shop from your own house and move things, rearrange things and the next thing you know...everything feels new!
A friend sent me this sign and the way God used it in our lives last week is a story to be told another day. But what I can say is how cool it was for her to think of me when she saw a sign with these words while shopping. Her name had been coming to me all day on Tuesday, so I texted her and told her that we needed to catch up the next day. Little did I know that she had also been thinking of me because she saw this sign and felt God saying it was for me. When we talked on Wednesday and compared notes, we realized that the Lord was placing us on each other's minds. I love that!
One day I decided to walk outside and take some pictures of the flowers blooming. Just as I was snapping photos, this black butterfly kept fluttering around me and finally landed right on the flowers I was taking a picture of. Can you see it? On the far right flower you can see its wings.
These are some rose bushes we bought from Sam's one day while shopping. They have done so well and are putting out beautiful blooms!
Other than redecorating the toy closet, putting together the guest room and a few organizing projects over the weekend, last week was spent watching tv and trying to feel better.
Finally, I texted my neighbor, who is a nurse, and asked her if I should go to a doctor. She told me to change my allergy medicine and use some eye drops and whatdoyaknow...I started to feel so much better! I'm so thankful for her advice!
This week looks like it's going to be a busy one, so good thing I have my energy back!
I hope you've enjoyed this little recap of my life 😀
I'll catch up with you soon!
Until Next Time...
Blessings!
Hello! I am happy to hear you are feeling better. Allergies are awful, I know. Just as we are so ready to get outside when the weather turns, they show up and remind us who is boss! We switch back and forth with our medicine too. It is a trick we learned when Madison was young and had horrible seasonal allergies. Have a cozy day, my friend, and ease back into it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI love the little dresser in your guest room!!
I'm so glad you're feeling better! How fortunate are we to have such wonderful friends? I have friends like this as well, who just randomly text me that they're thinking of me or were praying for me that morning. They're some of the Lord's greatest gifts to me! I love those pictures of your grands on stage- how precious. I love that their parents are training them up! I can't imagine how full your heart was witnessing that. Enjoy your day, my friend!
