Is this really a topic to write about?
Why yes, I think it is!
Because don't we all have a left over roll of pie crust dough
at one time or another?
And wouldn't you like to know what to do with it, if you did?
Well, I had to google the ideas, but once I did,
it all made sense!
Take the breakfast sausage in the freezer,
sauté it with some butter and onion,
throw in some spinach,
until soft.
Pour the meat mixture into the pie crust
(which is already in the pie plate).
Beat 4 eggs with some milk,
pour over the meat mixture in the pie plate,
and top with lots of cheese.
Bake at 350 until done.
And breakfast is served!
And delicious.
And now I know what to do with a leftover pie crust.
😀
Until Next Time...
Blessings!
no wastage of food..I guess just like bread make into bread pudding..
ReplyDeleteYes! It feels great to use up what we have and not waste anything.
DeleteI love these kinds of quiche. I have a small paper cookbook of Bisquick "Impossible Pies" that are all good. I just forget to make them most of the time. The real reason being that I don't want to spend any more time in the kitchen than I have to these days. Been there/done that. I wish I could hire myself a personal chef, sigh.
ReplyDeleteI've always said that if I could have any kind of help around the house, it would be a chef!
DeleteYa know, I have a leftover pie crust in my fridge just now. Every time I open the fridge door, I wonder, "What am I doing to do with that?" Well, thank you very much! I love a brilliant and easy solution!!:)
ReplyDeleteJennifer, I have one more and am thinking of homemade poptarts for the girls. What do you think?
DeleteAnd this is perfection! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteIt was delicious!
DeleteIf you're a blogger, I don't think any topic is off limits :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks really good. I wouldn't mind having that for breakfast. I would even eat that for dinner.
Ann, it would be great for dinner and with a side salad or toast.
DeleteI'd just make another pie!! :) Or if there isn't enough, then a couple of tarts.
ReplyDeleteI took the second pie crust and made some pop tarts for the girls.
